Coach Caregiver Webinar on Loss & Grief
If you are a caregiver, you deal with loss and grief. Some days more than others perhaps but it is always there, incremental and undeniable. Whether it is the loss and grief associated with your own life and the way it used to be, or the loss and grief associated with being a witness to the situation of your care recipient, it all counts. Perhaps it is anticipatory grief as is often the case with caregivers looking after a loved one with dementia or a long standing chronic condition. Or perhaps it is the grief that comes with death and the loss associated with no longer being a caregiver.
In this webinar we are going to explore the topic of Loss & Grief with a panel of guests who will each bring a different perspective. Our goal is to have an open dialogue that will help you understand that feelings of loss and grief are normal and ways of working with them. Join us for this insightful session on Loss and Grief with Coach Caregiver Wendy Johnstone and the following guests: Dr. Tom Attig – author of The Heart of Grief: Death and the Search for Lasting Love and How We Grieve: Relearning the World both with Oxford Press. Tom has a PhD in Philosophy and before becoming an independent philosopher taught at the University level for 25 years. Tom has written numerous articles and reviews on grief and loss and care of the dying. Christy Linder is a Program Coordinator with the Comox Valley Hospice Society on Vancouver Island.
